Acuity Mobile accomplishes Spot Relevance™ through the Embedded Mobile Advertising
Platform (EMAP). Developed in 2000 and patented in 2003, the EMAP Platform is a
modular and scalable software architecture that:
- integrates seamlessly into existing marketing management systems
- securely manages user data and identity information
- includes a sophisticated preference engine that ensures delivery of content based on both relevance and user interest
- supports any carrier and wireless device
Embedded Mobile Advertising Platform:
The EMAP Platform enhances your marketing process by enabling real-time, interactive content delivery based on relevance - relevance of offer, recipient, date and time, and location. The platform leverages J2ME, BREW, and PocketPC technology, and includes a rich set of APIs for ease of integration, scalability, and compatibility with today's mobile devices.
The process of delivering Spot Relevance™ with your targeted marketing content is straightforward with the EMAP:
- Define the target area (geographic location) for your offer.
- Develop the content that should be sent.
- An unobtrusive Java applet on the mobile device "checks in" periodically with your server.
- When the server confirms location and user profile match campaign settings, content is pushed to the user.
- The user can respond via a mobile device immediately to the offer.
- User activity is tracked and leveraged by Acuity Mobile's intelligent Preference Engine to continually hone content delivery to each particular user.

of consumer data, ensuring that all available information is utilized and that all delivered
content is relevant for the user.
